Rec Assessment Information

Veterans Sports Park, Tustin

  • This is a fun event for the purpose of distributing our Rec teams evenly. This is not a tryout.
  • 8u-14u rec players must attend. Select players do not attend.
  • 6u players are not assessed but can attend to be fitted for their jersey.
  • If your player cannot attend, please contact registrar@tustingirlssoftball.com. 
  • If your player tried out for but were not invited to a select team, she should attend evaluations. If your player cannot come, please notify registrar@tustingirlssoftball.com.
  • All players should bring their gear and a water bottle to evaluations. Please have your player wear softball pants (or appropriate athletic pants) and cleats.
  • Players will have the opportunity to try on jersey samples at Evals. Please visit the uniform table before or after your player’s scheduled start time to make size selections. You will receive your jersey prior to the first game. Players are responsible for purchasing their own black pants.

Please arrive 20-30 minutes early for check in and warmups.

  • Pitchers and catchers will be evaluated at the end of the tryout. Please note only catchers who own their own gear will be evaluated. There will be no sample gear to use on site. 

 

8U Rec Evaluation Schedule

VSP Field 2

Last Name A-M: 9:00 a.m. through 11:00 a.m.

Last Name N-Z: 11:00 a.m. through 1:00 p.m.

 

10U Rec Evaluation Schedule

VSP Field 2

Last Name A-L: 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Last Name M-Z: 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

 

12U Rec Evaluation Schedule

VSP Field 3

Last Name A-L: 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Last Name M-Z: 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

 

14U Rec Evaluation Schedule

VSP Field 3

All Players: 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
