Can't make it to Select tryouts? Please join us for a workout on the below dates. All players interested in trying out for Select are welcome to attend. YOU MUST BE REGISTERED TO ATTEND.
All workouts at Columbus Tustin Fields. Bring your gear, water, and wear softball pants.
8u - Sunday, August 1st, Field 1 at 9:00 a.m.
10u - Monday, August 2nd & Wednesday, August 4th, 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Field 2
12u - Thursday, July 29th & Tuesday, August 3rd, 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Field 1
Select teams participate in competitive play with teams produced by other recreational leagues. Select is for players interested in playing at a more competitive level.
Players play in their Spring 2022 age eligible division.
Each player will be required to pay an additional $40 registration.
Players must try out for the team and be selected. Player interest does not guarantee selection. Players interested in being evaluated for Select must check the appropriate box during the registration process.
Two practices per week. Games played on Sundays. Additionally there will be a mid-season tournament and end of season tournament.
Players will be notified of selection by Wednesday, August 11, 2021.
Any player wishing to play on an 8u-12u fall select team must attend evaluations on August 8, 2021. Players will then be invited to the team by the Select Coach. Please email email@example.com with questions about this process.
14u Select players must receive an invitation from the Manager to play before registering.
After being evaluated, players are given a rating. The Select Manager builds their roster based on rating and team needs, then submits that roster to the Select Committee for approval. Per the TGS Operating Rules, the Select Committee is comprised of the Executive Board, Division Vps, and the Select Director.
