Select is an opportunity for young players to play softball at an intermediate level, between the developmental recreational play and the highly committed competitive play of club. 

Select teams participate in competitive play with other teams produced by other recreational leagues.

• In the spring, players who participate on a select team, must also play on a recreational team and make 75% of their games/practices for rec. 
• Teams are only allowed to meet for practices or games 1 time per week.
• At TGS, teams are selected by the manager of the team, who is selected by the league.

FALL: 

• In fall, select players are not required to play rec.
• Select teams have their own practice schedule in fall.
• Teams participate in the OC Fall Ball interleague program.
• Teams are allowed to meet up to 3-4 times per week.
• At TGS, teams are selected by the manager of the team, who is selected by the league.
