We are looking forward to an awesome Tiller Days Parade.
This year's TGS parade theme is LEGOS! Did you know the name LEGO derives from the Danish term to "Play Well"? We think "Everything is Awesome When You're Part of a Team". We are planning to have a lot of fun with this theme.
When: Saturday, October 5th. Participants should be at the staging area no later than 9:30 a.m. so we can line the girls up and teach them a short routine. Remember to account for parking and walking your player to the staging area. The parade will begin at 10:00 a.m. and will conclude at approximately noon. Please plan to pick up your player on Beneta Way near the Columbus Tustin Rec Center no later than noon.
Parade attire: Players should wear their uniforms shirts and any black shorts. The vibrant colors of our uniform jerseys will lend towards our parade theme. Parents will not walk in the parade this year.
Line Up: We will find out our specific place in line on the morning of the parade and will send that out via social media stories. The staging area starts at about the Cream Pan Bakery and we typically stage right around that area. That lot is a great place to park. Please have your player at the staging area no later than 9:30 a.m.
Float: We will once again have a float courtesy of our generous sponsor, The Crane Guys and decorated by our amazing parade committee. We will ensure our youngest players sit on the float. Depending on space, our oldest players may walk alongside the float.
Parade Route: The parade starts on Main going east towards El Camino, then turns north on Prospect towards CT and ends at the carnival. The judges booth is at the corner of Irvine and Prospect. The parade times are not a science, but in year’s past we were all wrapped up by noon.
Team moms will have additional info to share and can help answer your questions.
Hope to see you there!
