PARADE INFORMATION

TGS is thrilled to be a part of the 2022 Tiller Days Parade! Please save the date and come out and parade with us!

When: Saturday, October 1st. Participants should arrive at the staging area no later than 9:30 a.m. The parade will begin t 10:00 a.m. and will conclude at approximately noon. We will be able to email the exact staging location the morning of Tiller Days.

TGS Parade Theme: Take Me Out to the Ball Game! (We are decorating our float with concessions. Think popcorn, hotdogs, nachos, pizza, crackerjacks, etc.

Parade attire: Players wear their Fall TGS uniform top and any bottoms/shorts OR the TGS Tiller Day Limited Edition shirt. Players may also wear concessions themed costumes. Additional fun props such as pompoms are encouraged. Adults wear any TGS spirit wear or plain colored shirts. Please no logos other than TGS gear.

Signs: Players can make signs to carry in the parade. Signs must be positive. Negative signs will not be allowed. Language such as "Girls rule, boys drool" will be seen as negative.

Line Up: No later than 9:30am  near the Cream Pan bakery. We will find out our specific place in line on the morning of the parade and will send that out. Parents who are not walking in the parade should pick their player up at the parade finish, which is the corner of Prospect and Beneta.

Float: we will once again have a float courtesy of our generous sponsor, MadMak Trucking. 6u and 8u players will ride on the float. 10u-14u will walk beside the float, pass out flyers, and cheer! WE CANNOT THROW CANDY.

Chaperones: We need at least one parent from each team to walk in the parade and be in charge of your players. The parade can be a little chaotic so we need to make sure our kids are accounted for.

The parade starts on Main going east towards El Camino, then turns north on Prospect towards CT and ends at the carnival. We should be all wrapped up by noon.

The Tiller Days parade is just good old fashioned, small town fun and WE LOVE IT.  (Participation is not required.)

There is a fun clip of last year's parade on our homepage.

See your team moms for more info.

Hope to see you there!
